The use of webcams can be accomplished via TWAIN driver. Microsoft discontinued TWAIN support with the release of Windows 7, so if you are running Windows 7 or above there will be no TWAIN driver included with your operating system. I have attached a document that tells you where you can obtain a third party TWAIN driver. You need to be sure that whatever webcam you buy supports TWAIN. Not all do. Also, this is an unsupported configuration.
