2016 was a busy and exciting year for Open Options. We want to thank our customers, dealers, and partners for your continued support, and let you know how much we truly value your relationship to Open Options. Read below for some of the year’s highlights:

New Integrations, Products & Technology

Open Options offers more third-party integrations than any other access control provider to deliver comprehensive security solutions. Additionally, we offer cutting-edge technology within our existing product scope and with new product developments. Listed below are some of 2016's innovations:

  • The addition of both DNA Fusion and the SSP-D2 intelligent controller to the GSA APL is a win for government agencies needing a technologically-advanced access control solution
  • Open Options partnered with NEC to provide DNA Fusion customers ultimate system redundancy with NEC ExpressCluster
  • Open Options completed a video integration with ACTi
  • Open Options and Axis Communications announced the integration of DNA Fusion with the Axis A1001 Network Door Controller
  • Open Options and Allegion partnered to offer DNA Fusion access control software and Schlage NDE series wireless locks integration
  • The SSP-LX Intelligent Controller, with an embedded Linux operating system, is Open Options’ most advanced controller to date
  • Open Options provides Software House and Vanderbilt end users with an easy transition to open platform through new Authentic Mercury bridge technology
  • Open Options’ DNA Fusion integrates with STOPware’s PassagePoint Global visitor management software

Philanthropy

We thoroughly enjoy participating in events that benefit local and nation-wide charities. Below are some of the events we had the privilege of organizing and/or attending this year:

  • Participated in the Security 5K at ISC West supporting Mission 500
  • Served as a sponsor at the 21st Annual JMG Golf Tournament in California benefiting the Boys & Girls Club charity
  • Held a silent auction at our annual crawfish boil with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities
  • Participated in the first ever ASIS Foundation Benefit Ride, which supports the ASIS Foundation in its mission to advance the security industry through education and research
  • Served as a sponsor in the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police’s Valor Awards Golf Tournament, which benefits survivors of officers that have died in the line of duty
  • Served as a Gold Sponsor at the Southwest Airlines Luv Classic, which benefits various children’s charities
  • Served as a donation center for Toys for Tots during the Holiday season
